I have had a letter from hospital that says the beta 2 glycoprotein levels are elevated at 21. Can anyone tell me what the range is?

best wishes to all.

You need to ask the hospital for their actual ranges, as some tests are difference, usually in most letters it shows the ranges above the results. MaryF

I beleive in the USA anything over >15 is positive but dfferent labs sometimes use different levels and testing. If u can get a copy of the lab work that shows it there should be a high/low range one the lab test results sheet. Good luck.

I had a diagnosis of APS from Prof. Hughes years ago, but my local hospital has never been really convinced because it has always been negative bloods.

If you have had a diagnoses from prof Hughes it must be correct. Ask for copies of the bloods-result.

I have had positive levels of Beta2Glycoprotein 1 for 14 years at always high levels (some changes) but I do not care about it. As long as I feel ok that is enough for me. You know that some people have negative tests from time to time and some are always negative but have symptoms. Once APS always APS.

Reference range here is 0-19 negative

20-39 low positive

40-79 moderate positive

>80 high positive.

The last few times mine have been >160 for both B2GP1 and Cardiolipin IgG but as Kertstin says-they can vary and I feel OK as well :)

S-Kardiolipin IgG Multiplex > 160 E/mL < 20 (referens)

S-Beta2GPI IgG Multiplex > 160 E/mL < 20 "

OBS! This is in SWEDEN (different labs give different numbers perhaps) but like Ozchick in Australia I have the same numbers. I have had those numbers the last years. I do not care about it at all as long as I feel ok.

thank you for your replies. Interesting to know that different labs have different figures.
