Numbness/Tingling and involuntary spasms?

Hi,

I was diagnosed with APS nearly four years ago following seven consecutive early miscarriages. I've since gone on to have two children (taking both aspirin and clexane daily from the very moment I got a positive pregnancy test). I've not been given any further advice on how to deal with APS, nor any guidance as to whether it will continue to affect me beyond pregnancy.

However, since the birth of my 2nd child, I am experiencing numbness and tingling in various parts of my body (hands, legs, tongue, forehead, back) and involuntary spasms (chiefly left hand, thumb and leg). These are very mild but obvious enough for me to notice, even while looking after a newborn and a toddler.

Does anyone know of an APS specialist I could talk to in the UK? I want to understand what I should be doing long term to take care of myself; how an APS diagnosis affects you post pregnancy; and if any of my recent very mild nervous system (?) events are somehow caused by APS?

Any advice on specialists hugely appreciated.

Thanks,

ECW.

Hello and welcome, you have landed in the right place, and you are right to seek urgent treatment and further help. Please see our list of recommended specialists in the UK: hughes-syndrome.org/self-he...

Also please do have a very good look around the entire charity website: hughes-syndrome.org/

Also if this gets any worse while you wait for an emergency and swift referral, go to hospital. MaryF
