I saw this today, and although very frustrating for most of us, this did make me giggle, so decided to share xxx

Thank you for sharing it with us!!

I also smiled. Good that we can smile at our funny symptoms. I believe that we are not very ill then.

I start laughing every time I go in the kitchen. I can never remember what I went in for! Sometimes have to write it on my hand, so I know when I get there lol xx

If I go into the kitchen or another room and I forget why I went into the room I usually go back from where I came ........... if I remember where I came from ofcourse.

Best to you from Kerstin in Stockholm

Funny, except at this particular time, painfully funny.

This was me in the grocery store today: "I need to get this!" A minute later: "What was it I needed to get?" Oh, well, forget about it.

Super foggy the last few days, and I had taken 1/4 of ritalin to get me though a long day. Didn't help with my concentration much.

Thank you, it's very funny.

My memory issues mainly involve names. :(

I'm terrible Dave. I have lists and bits of paper all over the house. Even write things on my hand, if there's no paper lying around! X

😂 it's always good to laugh and see the funny side of things . My best word confusion ever was saying porn corridge instead of corn porridge I still giggle now.

I always mix up my words, which gives everyone a laugh!

Par Cark - Car Park.

Uncle Loraine & Aunty John.

Susspifically- specifically .

The list goes on...........xx

That's interesting! I always thought I mixed up my words because I am French. Little did I now it was because of APS!

That was me today when I went to my stitching group and foolishly decided to offer to make tea and coffee. Black coffee, white coffee, weak coffee, tea were all requested. Someone had to come to the rescue...

People think I'm nuts, as I'll be half way through a sentence, and the tiniest thing will distract me. I suddenly forget what the heck I was talking about, so I end up just laughing! Xx

To be honest I do see the funny side and I'm getting over the harder side now, if I'm on a teleconference at work I used to emotionally die when I forgot what I was saying now I just tell people I've got really bad brain fog and totally forgot what I'm saying. I call my word confusion Dot cotton syndrome as she always muddles her words

Love the Dot Cotton Syndrome! Might have to pinch that one sometime, if I can remember it lol

Brilliant. Last week my daughter asked me to pick up a prescription from the doctor for her young son, so I did and put it in my handbag.

This week she was telling me how the surgery have mislaid a prescription and how she had been ringing chemists trying to find said prescription! I was full of disdain for the surgery! Yesterday I decided to empty my handbag!!! Yes it was there the lost prescription!

The scary thing is is that I did not even remember picking it up when she was telling me about it, the memory was simply not there at all. It worries me sometimes that I will forget something that is really important. So thanks for making me smile and laugh at myself!

That is so like myself. That's why I have to write little notes all round the house, and even on my hand.

I mix my words and we laugh.

It does not happen when I am writing and figures (like telephonnumbers) I remember quite well. I am a bit older than most of you on this site, so probably i could blaim it on old age, but I am not that old and I now what it is, it is APS. It has been much better when my INR is in range.

It is important to have the same places for important things otherwise..... I have got 3 cards from my Hematologist that tell I have a great risk for thromboses etc and I could not find 2 of them. I searched and searched for possible places I had put them and finally yesterday they were infront of my eyes in the hall where they had been for several weeks.

Then I laughted at myself!! I was also relieved that I had finally found them. Sometimes I think I am blind also.

Not just band memory but I often jokingly "plead brain damage". We do have to keep our sense of humor. Otherwise we'd end up depressed. I have to remember that as bad as I have it sometimes, there are people out there suffering more than myself.

After being helped by a complete stranger who not only pushed my car (with me in it!) but then waited until I got going again. I told the chiropodist that I was helped by shites in nining armour. Please work it out, she was unable to continue with my care.

Laughed out loud at this cartoon, I don't know who is worse, me or 91yr old father in law who has vascular dementia.... he laughed too by the way!. MaryH, tears rolling down my cheeks, I hope you mean your chiropodist couldn't finish because she was laughing. My girls think my word finding problems are hilarious, I once asked for pumpcorn chicken in McDonald's and porn cackers ordering a Chinese takeaway.

Lol. Had to laugh at myself today. Only went and forgot the name of my daughters teacher. The one she's had for the last year!!! Did it twice, and had to ask my daughter her name. She looked at me as if to say 'what planet are you on?' Bless her, she's only 5!

Had to laugh the other day. My husband had let the dogs in from the garden, and as I got to the kitchen door i noticed dirty paw prints on the floor. Walking up to the kitchen I shouted "Who's are these fucky mutprints (mucky footprints) all over the floor?". Just glad my 6 year old daughter was out of earshot 😁
