Hi I've now been told I've got rosacea.

Does anyone else have this and is it associated with ApS?

Hi lewchar1,

Hope your doctor has not taken you off Warfarin as you told us he intended to in your last post.

I have APS and my Dermatologist looked at me and said " it looks like you have little of Rosacea also." She sounded as if she was not quite sure. I have other not so bad marks from my APS but I take hydrocortisone. I see her every year.

Hi Lewchar1,

I was diagnosed with Rosacea about a year ago and i have APS but i don't know if they are connected. Mine started with really itchy bumps on my chin i thought i had hives but the bumps are now smaller and i get little like blisters in the middle and there bright red! Ive googled photo's of Rosacea and my face doesn't look like any of the pictures so i'm not convinced that its what i have. I find that antihistamines help.

I know that many with low thyroid function have Rosacea it can be connected to that, and of course a high percentage of patients with Hughes Syndrome/APS end up with a Thyroid problem whether diagnosed or not. MaryF

Hello lewchar. I'm interested in your post as I have APS and have developed what I think may be rosacea and was wondering the same thing as you. Unfortunately my GP looked at it and shrugged his shoulders! Still, one to ask the rheumatologist at my next appointment.

Hi, not diagnosed, but I have it too I think, though not so bumpy as in most pictures on the Internet. Am curious whether there is a connection. No thyroid problems (yet?) here.

I have had rosacea for a little 2 years. Dermalmd rosacea serum works well for me. It leaves my skin clean and helps with redness. During a bad break out, I have to use a prescription cleanser-but for over all maintenance and a fair price I really like dermalmd rosacea serum..
