Bleeding from nipple.

I'm on warfarin for diagnosed aps but have just started bleeding from one nipple. A bit concerned!

Ok. Saw gp who seems up to speed on lupus and aps and he examined me. No sign of a lump or cysts so he thinks its probably an infection for which hes prescribed me fucidin and said come back in two weeks if not gone and is less concerned because its never happened before. I am also being treated for a uti which I started antibiotics on Monday for but am still passing blood too. I am basically a walking bleed!

Ok, well just keep a close eye and if not satisfied go to the hospital! These things need careful observation by ourselves and also in a clinic. MaryF x

Thank ou Mary. Gp seems to think it's a lupus attack on me. 25 Feb can't comr soon enough. Then I will ask them to properly check out the places I am bleeding from. I really want to get on medication.

Hi. My INR is now 3.1, checked yesterday. I am on antibiotics for a UTI.

Please go to your gynocologist right away. You need an ultrasound, and maybe adtional testing to rule out breast cancer. I would not wait to go through one or two rounds of antibiotics

. Two when the first doesn't work. May not be infection.

Don't want to upset you especially on week end when offices are closed but this aps makes us different ... and we need to advocate for ourseles. Don't assume that beig anticoagulated might be a reason for this bleeding nipple.

I have been there, done that. Also found journal article's that talked about how commonly this is miss diagnosed as Infection. my gyn fortunately told me that I had to get checked out he said this is always the case with nipple bleeding, but even mre so if aps/or a nticoagulation could be co fusing the picture.
