Hidradentitis suppurative specialist?

Dear community, I am looking for an HS specialist. My son may have it .....his fingers are badly affected. The GP has no interest in helping. Can anyone recommend a specialist in the south east of England ?

At Guys Hospital in London they have a specialist clinic but the waiting list was around 9months when I was referred. Also, I’m not sure if you can refer your self (my derm at my local hospital did this).

A side note... I’ve never heard of anyone having HS on their fingers before. Does he have any other affected areas?

HS doesn’t usually affect the hands

Under arms, groin, skin folds like under breasts and stomach

I’ve had HS for 20+ years and only ever had 2 out side of those areas and they were both around where my waist band rubs.

The U.K. leading guy for adults is based at the RVI in Newcastle.

Try a different GP to see if you can get a preliminary diagnosis

Hi I would be surprised if he has hs on his fingers only ever heard of armpits, under breasts, groin and buttocks, I would push for your son to be referred to a dermotoglyst who will be able to diagnose your sons problem.
