I was diagnosed when I was about 17 and didn't need meds for about 10 years then after that was a massive struggle to get me to start and living with a psychotic bf who didn't believe in meds ?????

Hi Joe , I'm kind of puzzled as to what the problem was ? If you were diagnosed ten years earlier I'm sure you must have had regular tests to see how your CD4 count was doing , so that clinic visits and blood tests were nothing new , and you must have been told you would need to start meds. at some point so none of this was a surprise . Personally when I was diagnosed I took time to learn as much about my condition as I could , so as to have an idea how to handle it .

I assume you are on medication now , and understand the importance of strict adherence to the regime ? As for the psycho boyfriend , we all have a duty to ourselves , to protect ourselves from harmful idiots !
