Got my appointment tomorrow and think the discussion is going to he around medication. Can't believe it's going to be for life. A lot to take in. Really want 1 pill a day but really really worried about side effects and long term damage from the medication.

It does take some getting used to but in time taking pills will become second nature. Good luck tomorrow.

Hi Ryan, I've been taking the Meds for 16 years. It's not so bad ya know. I do get some side affects but you just get used to them. Good luck today at your appointment.

Talk it all through with your health professional. I felt better after taking the meds. Once you get use to taking the meds you will be ok. A cure may be found...

Best of luck for your appointment today! I have been in the same boat as you a month back, it's tough to say the least but fingers crossed like me you will find the strength to help you through this first stage and eventually become extremely fit and healthy again!

Hey. How dI'd it go? I was diagnosed about 1 year ago and started meds straight away. I personally don't regret it. I feel so much better and in control of things. I have found it easier than I originally thought (and I'm actually the most forgetful person I've ever met)

I'm ok thanks I've given the first lot of medication truimeq which is 1 pill per day so hopefully should be ok just worried about starting it now. My viral load was 35000 which I was told was not too bad. Just worried need to start with it being Xmas and everything as I have not told anyone about this. Are you ok to have a few drinks on the medication just don't want people to think there is something wrong with me.

Hey. That's amazing. I was on about 20 millions viral load which is pretty nuts only after 6 weeks of being infected. So you'll be down to undetectable pretty soon.

Taking your meds is super easy and will become something you just do without thinking about it soon.

I know you will be fed up of hearing this but it really is a lot easier than you think right now. I was diagnosed only 1 year ago and I can't believe how much I've grown and how I think about it in a completely different way.

And of course you can have a drink or two or as many as you want.

If you ever need to talk to someone, let me know.
