Hip replacement.
I have surgery booked for my right hip booked for 1st March. I'm having a dual mobility prosthesis as I have had lumbar surgery and I also have scoliosis and so am at greater risk of dislocation. Has anyone else had this, and did you have spinal or general anaesthetic when you have spinal problems.

Hello All, It’s been a long time since I’ve been on here, I finally got into sheltered housing last April & got a lovely little bungalow I’m over the moon with. It was in very good content with decent carpets curtains, and blinds left & got a decorating/other grant from the council that I wasn’t expecting

Just some good news
My husband was looking into getting a
hip
replacement
back in 2021 when he was diagnosed with PC. So the
hip
replacement
was put on hold,. But the
hip
arthritis kept getting worse and he could no longer walk more than a block. It pained me to see how hard it was for him to walk.

Hip Replacement while on treatment??
He stated that a
hip
replacement
was the next line of treatment, but he doubted it would be approved while he was on treatment for this. We see his team at MDA for a monthly check on Tuesday and we will ask if the
hip
replacement
is an option and when.

3 weeks until superpath hip replacement
it’s becoming very real now! I need both hips replaced, my left is going first as only 10% mobility left even though my right is more painful. I have chosen Superpath to avoid muscle and tendon cut through all being well. A bit of a trek from Scotland to Leicester where there is an experienced surgeon

Hip replacement 5days on!!!😵💫
5 days post op now and if I’m honest it’s been more painful than I anticipated!!! Doing everything I’ve been told and I am walking very wel with my crutches but really only pain free when lying down, despite pretty good pain relief. Just wondering if I should , reluctantly, up pred from 2mgs for a few

Belbuca and post surgical pain.
I am facing
hip
replacement
surgery in a couple of months. I am concerned about post surgical pain since my understanding is that I will not be able to take any opioids post op. My surgeon and my PCP do not have any suggestions. Does anyone have any suggestions?
