Hi I was always told by my care team that the viral loads often vary and can go up and down quite dramatically and they didn't have a reflection on how 'ill' with the virus I was, I have no idea if thats right or not but I took in on board and didn't focus on the virus load until I started treatment and liked to see it go down (it went to zero 2 weeks into treatment and was in its millions when i started :) )

Hi, Yes I am of the same opinion as tess74. That number goes up & down. Mine was over 200 million

Now after treatment it is very low, they haven't told me exact number. But I try not to worry about it and go by how I feel. Best wishes 😍

It will get better. Keep looking for treatment. Be a advocate for yourself. find a community health clinic that specializes with hep c..if one insurance or medicaid plan keeps denying treatment try another one until you get the help you need. I was told i have stage 3 fibrosis and my viral count was high. I was scared and i cried.im only 37 and felt like it was a death sentence. After 6 months my medicaid finally approved treatment.it wasn't eazy i got denied twice..i got lame excuses as to why they werent going to pay for it. I didn't give up and changed my medicaid plan. Im taking mavyret everyday.it is expensive bur far less than the cost of some of the other hep c treatments.it is making it possible to help more people with this illness.may God bless you and know he will take care of what you can't
