I'm new here, my husband was just diagnosed with Hep C and B. First, do I need to be tested? and he is on pain medications for his back and neuropathy. Can he still continue pain medications? What is safe?

Yes you should be tested for both, right away. It would be hard to contract hep c from him but not hard picking up hep b. Can you call your physician right away and ask how soon till they test you?
Get tested asap. If u are clear get a hep b vaccine. As for his pain meds my partner is on buprenorphine (painkiller) and sertraline (antidepressant) and hes continuing with those meds when he starts his treatment next wednesday x
