Oh my,postman came this morning with a letter from our gp addressed to my husband saying "we've had notification recently that you have bn diagnosed with hep c, I have taken the liberty if reffering you to the liver specialist at addenbrooks hospital in Cambridge his appt is for Thurs 7th if June 2018.. He did have hepatitis c in the 70's and was hospitalised at the time but was never treated as such!! He seems to think that because he's not had a flare up with his liver since then that he's in the clear!! Now I've got the v difficult task if convincing him that he needs to go along to that appointment for bloods & to see what doc has to say, not gonna be easy!! (He can be stubborn) I'm really really stressed now, what with that & my fight with the ribavirin (5 wks left) I went years & years with no flare ups and 3 yrs ago had a massive flare up and was in hospital for weeks!! Hope your all doing OK, thanks for listening once again, don't know where I'd be without you lovely lot xx

Oh dear, all coming at once😔 he absolutely must go to that appointment, I know some men can be a nightmare to get to go to the doctor's 😉 I have one of those myself lol. But if he still has it, then he needs to go on treatment too, so you both can be free of this virus. I know it's not easy to infect someone, but the last thing you want is to keep re-infecting eachother 😨 I hope he does see sense and goes! Good luck with everything! I must admit I'm confused as to why they didn't check on him all these years? Was he not under a consultant being monitored?! Good luck with convincing him, I keep my fingers crossed for you 😉🙏💞

Hi there, you no doubt got your hands full, hope it all works out for you and hubby,It's incredible how people all have different variations of the same thing,liver...it's one organ that sure can act up when it wants to,the important thing is that it's been picked up, the treatment is very advanced, not like in the 70s fingers crossed for you both,It's not easy, but you being on side means hubby is in good hands.wish you both all the best
