Well then, 4 week viral load come back as <10 ☺️

Hi guys, nurse just rang me to say my 4( well 3.5 week in my case lol) bloods have come back with a viral load below ten ☺️ whilst I'm very happy with that, I asked her if this means as much as undetected, she said that labs something report back as undetected and sometimes as below ten. I was wondering, how do they know that you have none left eventually, I mean do they take below ten as a cure once you reached the six months after treatment? Just can't get my head around it, because if it's 'just' under ten does it not mean theoretically there could still be 9 or 8 or 7 etc remaining? Please do tell me if I'm having a senior moment here lol!!! Hope you are all keeping well!! 🙏🍀🍀🍀☺️😎

I wonder about this myself

I know right? Because I keep thinking, as long as there is even one left then they would have the potential to duplicate again once the meds are stopped. And if they can't measure lower than ten, it looks like it's a fingers crossed situation once the meds are stopped. Maybe I'm overthinking this though lol!! Im terrible when it comes to that 😂

Maybe our new admin can point us in the way of finding out about this. Might stop her posting death Polls and keep the blighta out of mischief

Great news 😁15 and under is the same as clear! You are clear 😉 my results were over 30. Don't think coz I didn't clear you won't. Only 1 person here came back to me not cleared. So don't worry honey and congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

Thank you so much! 🤗 I would have preferred zero, but I suppose there is no such reading lol. Probably just nitpicking now 😂😂😂😂 I'm relieved that at least meds seem to work, fingers crossed it all carries on despite dose reduction of the Ribavirin. Also very excited for you that you are going back soon for another go!! 🤗🍀🍀🍀🍀🙏👍💪

Yes virus is undetectable at 15 and below so you will never see a zero but the word undetectable, that's all we want 😁I never got given exact numbers just detectable. You can always give hepc trust a call if it makes you anxious. I also have 3a with a resistant variant so it's harder to clear. I know it's hard to believe but try & ignore the meds now and get through the finishing line like the marathon runner you are 😄😄😍😍😍😘😘

Yeah the nurse was kinda unclear, she said below 10 but she said its the same as undetectable, which doesn't make sense to me. But I suppose I just be happy that its that low in the first place 🙏 good idea with ringing the hep c trust. But I'm not too worried really, was just curious how they measure clear from below a certain number, when they can't detect below a certain threshold, if that makes sense 😊 and still 7.5 weeks to go so lots of time left to kill the buggers for good, however few remain 😉💖🙏🍀🍀🍀👍💪

Them last 10 know their days are numbered ,they will be hiding in a cupboard somewhere 😊

😂😂😂your good. They do say they can lie dormant in any area of your body.? I'm not reading anymore about it cuz the mind boggles. A nurse tried to take my blood the other day with no success so now I'm waiting till next Thursday. Doctors always get me with no problems.

Awww, don't stress 15 and under is undetectable, some authorities have that number higher. yes you're correct they can only detect it over a certain number. Crikey under 10 is soooo clear. I am impressed they even got a number 😂😂😂 and you have almost 8 wks to go. I was 650 @6 wks so please feel reassured xxxxxxxxx

Thanks! 🤗 It does sound like you could have done with a bit longer than eight weeks, I have all the hope in the world for your second attempt!!!🙏🙏🙏🍀🍀🍀 It will be good that when you do the second treatment, your viral load will most likely be much lower to start with, so that will definitely help 💪👍😉I have been nitpicking a little with this result I think, and after all, what matters most is that it's gone six months after treatment ☺️🤗🙏🍀🍀🍀xxxxxxx

I got told today from my nurse that the low viral counts after/during treatment can mean that it's stragglers that's floating around blood stream and should be undetected as time goes on to the point they find nothing. I find it complicated too.

Congrats babe that’s amazing news! Must admit it confused me too at 2 weeks I was told mine was 10 at 4 weeks I saw a different nurse who told me it had cleared and explained more about the previous results saying it was less than 10.Anyway next time you go you will be getting the all clear👊👏💋💋
