Can a CK blood test confirm if statins are causing uour lower back pain

No. A high CK level may indicate muscle damage in general, some of which may be statin-caused. It can also occur for other reasons. An introduction may be at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creat...

Thankyou for your reply but i swear statins are causing the pain and i now have diabetes and s form of leukemia

Yes he gave me a CK blood tests and said its not statins causing the pain but i disagree

Stop taking them and see if it goes away.

Discuss this with your doctor.

People get allsorts of problems with statins and million dont get problems.

Each person is different so its suck it and see time.

Thankyou for your reply but no doctor will take me off of statins ive had chronic bavk pain since 2002

"no doctor will take me off of statins". If you are convinced, just stop taking them. Surely the doctor is not forcing them down your throat each morning?

Of course, the doctor would not be responsible for you stopping the treatment, but after 6 months you'd at least know if it was the statins causing the problem. Of course, your cholesterol may be higher which wouldn't feel painful, but could cause other problems.
