Weaning off Bisoprolol

Hi there,

Anybody else experienced difficulties weaning off Bisoprolol?

I am nearly 12 months post ablation for VT and PVCs, despite a turbulent time, my ablation has been deemed a success. I have just dropped my final dose of 1.25mg ( I was originally taking 10 mg) which I have weaned off over the past three months.

I am feeling very fatigued, my stamina seems to have decreased, some chest pain when walking.

Anyone else experienced these changes?

Thank you.

Hi. Without the bisoprolol your symptoms as mentioned should improve. If not after a week or 2 you should see the doc particularly with the pain in chest . Your ep would be the best bet. Pain in chest definitely needs a look at. Asap

Hi Phil,

Thank you for your reply.

A week on It’s definitely starting to calm down now, I’ve recently had a normal angiogram and my ECG is coming back as normal sinus rhythm. So that’s all good news. Unfortunately the chest pain is associated with residual pain from the ablation, just a time thing.

Take care
