Use of mobile phone/cellphone and electric razor with pacemaker.

I'm having a pacemaker fitted shortly. I use a rechargeable electric razor and mobile phone, there is conflicting advice from authoritative sources on the internet about whether you should keep them 6 inches from the pacemaker, pretty difficult if shaving. My senior cardiac nurse has told me emphatically that with modern pacemakers electric devices CAN be used within 6 inches. I would value the opinion of others fitted with a pacemaker please.

Hi, I use both of these items, without any problems, and have done for the last 6 years. Had to switch to electric razor due to being on Apixaban for blood clotting. I ensure that I don't put my mobile phone in a breast pocket, and always carry it in my right hand trouser pocket.

Hope this helps
