Are you on any meds for your SVT. before I was on bisoprolol if I had any type of illness my heart rate would be about 140 BPM until I recovered. It's natural to have an increased heart rate when you are fighting off an illness it's the heart having to work harder to fight your infection etc . Now I am

On bisoprolol the increase if I am sick goes from about 60 BPM to 80. I would not be too

Concerned my partner gets this too and he isn't on meds but his normal heart rate is 60 and when he is sick it's about 100.

My daughter had a very high heart rate recently ,178, it was just tachycardia , she then developed pneumonia. My daughter is better now but still gets tachycardia . However she has seen a professor in cardiology and he is not worried. Luckily she isn't an anxious person .I guess you shouldn't worry too much as the rate will respond to you being frightened. Easier said than done ! Hope you get well soon 😊

Last November I had a second ablation for my SVT. A week later I started having Them again. I was told I will need a third ablation but much more invasive. A month later I thought I had the flu. I was very sick. As the days went on I knew it was more than that. 4 trips to the ER before they figured it was bleeding ulcers. And because of the inflammation I got a plura effusion on my lung. I almost died. No joke. My resting heart rate, just sitting on the couch all day was 95. I was in cardio 23 1/2 hours a day. During that time I had my worst SVT ever. I woke up having it and I couldn’t get it to stop using the normal maneuvers. I waited it out. It lasted 9 minutes at over 245. I was told when my body is weak I would have more and stronger SVT’s. Another reason to have the procedure. Good luck.
