Hi Marty

Have a look at this recording done by Dr Sanjay Gupta, he explains PVC's and ectopic beats well:

I have giddy turns frequently but not necessarily associated with my ectopic beats, however I am on slow release propranolol for ectopic bigeminy which means without medication I get missed beats/ectopics every other beat which makes me feel very poorly and uncomfortable. I am awake now as although I have had my medication I am experiencing heart flutters and ectopcs which is disconcerting. I spend my life wondering what causes giddy turns and these irregular beats although try to get on with my busy life regardless. Giddiness can be caused by so many things so it’s worth getting in touch with your dr to eliminate some reasons. Does anyone else on slow release propranolol still get ectopic beats or bigeminy? It’s such a nuisance. Thanks Gill

Thank you Gillie it is so not fun to live with mine is not so much giddiness more a lightheaded strange feeling after a missed beat.I am seeing the cardiologist professor this Saturday and I'll see what he says.

Good luck with all your missed beats and giddiness and I hope we both get to the bottom of our problems soon.

Take care regards Marty.

Hi Marty, hope the changes in medication make you feel much better. I’m still having giddy spells and missed beats. Stress doesn’t help but it’s hard to avoid!

Thanks for reply, all best, Gill

It sure is hard to avoid stress we are all different and deal with it in different ways, some people seem to manage it better than others and it also depends on each individuals work load of course.

I'll let you know how things go after my dosage change. The giddy lightheaded feeling is very hard to deal with Gillie.

Good luck and hang in as best we can.

Regards Marty.
