2 years post-op. I was left with 1 ovary (op was in my 30's) but lately I have been having a sharp stabbing pain in the area of the remaining ovary. Is this normal?? Sone menopause symptoms too.

hi karen. i was advised my remaining ovary may last around 5 years but everyone is different. i must admit my op was just over 2 years ago and i feel like somethimg has changed so am going for a scan tomorrow. i would go see your gp if something doesnt feel right just to get checked out. x

Good to hear from someone in the same position! We must have had our surgeries at the same time. You just have 1 ovary too?

I hope your scan goes well tomorrow.

thx karen. yes everything else removed just one lonely ovary floating about now. im not sure if my ovary might be showing signs of failing or if my endo is back which is why i went back to my gp. if it is failing i suppose i have to be greatful that it has been gradual as i think i would have struggled with surgical menopause.
