Thee stuffing is exactly the same as I would normally use in the wrapped grape vine leaves, an enchant dish throughout the middle east and beyond.
Ingredients for the filling was, home ground beef, onion, garlic, oregano, mint, salt, pepper and pre cooked rice, tinned tomatoes.
Fry onions until soft, and tinned tomatoes and cook for a few minutes, add ground beef, herbs, crashed garlic, cook until beef is cooked, add water and lemon juice and add cooked rice. Take of heat and cover until cooled down.
Fill the vegetables and place under the oven grill.
It was the first time I used the fully grown snake gourd and it was I think beautiful with a lovely flavour and texture with still having a nice crunch..🤗
