With all the polls on sandwiches and fillings I thought I'd take a photo of my lunch today before I put both halves together.
The bread is home made gluten free seeded bread with grated strong extra mature cheddar cheese little gem lettuce (my favourite lettuce) home grown baby tomatoes and some extra large cucumber grown by my neighbour with a few silver skin pickled onions.
I do like my lunch so enjoyed this and am really enjoying the home grown produce.

This sounds and looks wonderful! I wish we could grow our own tomatoes for salads/sandwiches. My Grandfather had homemade tomatoes years ago, but that was before 2000. I will have to see if we can plant our own sometime soon.😀👍
I was actually thinking of that as an idea-- put a gardening pot outside and water seeds for tomatoes to grow, but I will have to get the packet of seeds, first.
Tomato plants will grow in a pot. This is my first year of successfully growing tomatoes, not that my harvest was very abundant. But I grew them in pots in my broken down car. I open a door on sunny days. The bees (and birds) can go in too and pollinate the plants. I think the birds ate most of the tomatoes though 🙄 Maybe you don’t have an old car but a sunny spot would work. I’ve also grown carrots in pots in my car, I picked about 7 this evening and was eating them within the hour 🥕 But you do need to get the packet of seeds first! It’s probably the wrong end of the year now to be planting tomato seeds though.
Easy to grow tomatoes on a pot. Just make sure it's big enough so that when the fruit grows the pot doesn't get pulled over by the weight. I had three pots this year with three different varieties.
I really appreciated the photo... seems l tend to forget to eat healthier some days. Photos like yours trigger something in my brain and then l do eat better...
