Hi Hidden ,

For a Sunday meal, it can differ depending on what we had/have during the rest of the week/weekends.😀👍

We have a Sunday roast every few weeks.

You are right about variety.. Its nice to have different things.

Do you like mushrooms and cheese mixed in for the omelette?

in reply to Activity2004

Yes, with peppers and salami.

I do mushrooms and cheese here at home. I get other types of omelettes with other fillings when I get to go out to eat.

I love omelettes and have just discovered my new favourite - cheese crust omelette.

Cheese crust?

I got it from the Diet Dr website - hope the link works.

I just do steps 1-3 (but don’t use cream with the beaten eggs) and then continue in my own way with whatever I am filling with. I’ve only made it with mature Gouda so far (only done it a couple of times) but I’m sure any hard cheese will do.

in reply to AnnieW55

That looks really nice, I might give it a go next time.

Thank you 😊

I love all types of cheese but mature Gouda has moved up the favourites list. It has a good amount of vit k2 which is a bonus.

Hi Activity 2004, for our Sunday meal we had pork chops, vegetables and boiled onion with some gravy followed by Key Lime pie, not with pastry but with a biscuit base.

That’s fantastic!😀👍 I eat pies out without the crust— unless it’s made with gluten free flours.

They were, Thehandyman. Because she had that natural way she cooked things and love was put into everything she cooked and I was so lucky to have had 25yrs of her love and care. Sorely missed.

I hope the good memories keep you going.

Sunday is just a normal day. I might make something that takes a bit longer to cook/prepare (like pie), but that's just because I have time to do that on Sundays.
