Sugar calculator how much sugar is in every day foods your children may have.

Hi everyone,

Continuing our sugar theme here's a link to the Change for life sugar calculator its for parents to work out the amount of sugar in every day foods and drinks their children may have.

I use sugar to bake bread but use 1 tea spoon 4g for 1Kg but there is much larger amounts in many foods and drinks so please see:

It's a very good calculator, think I'll show my daughter this one.

You need a little sugar in your bread to activate the yeast, I remember using fresh yeast when I baked bread at school. Sugar is hidden in so much and the manufacturers use it when they don't need to.

Hi Alicia, thank you that sounds like a good idea, they add sugar to make things taste less salty less bitter so really they add salt and sugar to make poor quality food taste better unless I've missed something...🤢 And their secret is not safe with me...😂

I do think the shock factor is good. Its disgusting what manufacturers put in food to make it taste good, problem it's very poor quality food. I totally agree with you.😊
