Quite a LOT of 'Spices', and so on, CAN apparently 'bung you up' rather. I had a 'Room', in Shared House, back in my college days-yes we DID chisel into stone, before you ask! One of the 'Guys', who lived downstairs- there were three floors- used a LOT of spices...he 'Always seemed' to be using laxatives. They were, in 'His area, of the kitchen- ditto the bathroom and also in his room. So yes, I guess, that there IS a 'Link'.
I know that certain 'Food Stuffs' can 'bung You Up', too much 'dairy' is guaranteed to do so😖. Processed bread (white bread- horrible stuff😬), Rice (natural rice is fine- even good for you👍) indeed Any 'highly refined' food can 'block up' your innards😢.
I have to be VERY careful, with what I eat- mind you- I think that we all do! Since it's almost 'Time'.…..
