Dear All,

Current time- 12:03 am, location- My Living Room, Activity in Progress- 'Impulsive' Eating....Cheese, Ritz And Branston Pickle. So literally YES a Mid-Night Snack! NOT very 'Healthy' BUT LOVELY! I also had a Coffee, though NOT an 'Ordinary' one- a Mocha Type. So overall a GOOD Snack.....

Does anyone else do this?

What did you have for dinner? Sometimes, if you have only carbs. at a meal, a person may get hungry faster than normal.😀👍

I think you are right - I snack on cottage cheese and banana at midnight. So I must check my dinner at 8pm? thanks.

Do you like Greek yogurt? You can always have it with dinner afterwards with your meal as dessert. Lots of protein.😀👍

I can't add picture here - total carbs per 100 gm is 7.4.

Hi Andrew I'm trying not to snack after dinner but at least the coffee you had will keep you awake so you don't have cheese nightmares 🤣

The Coffee DIDN'T Keep Me Awake, but then, I didn't have a 'Cheese Nightmare' either.

Time now, just after, 10:30 I'm feeling 'Kind Of' tired and it looks like I could, very well, be Going Out for Lunch- that's it MORE food😋

Not lately but my fetish is coffee and Bourbon biscuits and not just a couple either.

Dear Suffolklady,

I Prefer Chocolate Biscuits myself, especially Jaffa Cakes😋😋.

Nice to hear, from you Suffolklady, how are you? By the way- if you don't mind me asking- which part, of Suffolk, are you from? My Father, and Step-Mother, live near Bury St Edmunds. I also have Friends in, or near, Suffolk- it IS a lovely County. I'm In Essex myself, in 'Supported Living'. Interesting Story, about the Essex 'Cutlasses'- They are called 'Ses(s)tex' and Essex used to be called 'Es(s)tex'....Are They the Sesstex from Esstex?

Anyway, as I said, lovely to hear from you. If you would rather PM me, with your Details, instead of putting them Here Please Do.

Warmest Wishes

Hi everyone I have discovered coffee substitute - Chicory -does not keep me awake and tastes like coffee. Do try it.

Yes, do you remember 'Camp' coffee? I don't know if they still 'Do' it but it contained Chicory. If I recall correctly, thinking about it now, wasn't there a Coffee Shortage- in about the Seventies? I believe that Chicory was added then....am I right? NOT that I'm OLD, or anything, you understand!

If you have 'Arabica' Beans, they, naturally, contain less Caffeine than some of the Other types. Thank you, for you reply Amynah.

I have done in the past - although never midnight. I can never sleep if I am hungry. Normally have my evening meal around 8pm, but by 10pm I am starting to feel a little peckish - try to have just a handful of nuts - that does the trick : >

Thought the topic was eating late, seems I'm not sure now got lost in the answers. But if I answer to what I believe you ask, first sometimes I must because of blood sugar lows. Second yes, just having cravings and those can vary from carmel corn, cookies, potato chips, taco chips and dip. To a mean late night sandwich.

How long have you been on the program? Control becomes easier as times goes by. We always must remember if we fakk off our diet do not beat yourself up, get right back on it and your exercise program the next day. Try to avoid keeping so many cheat foods stock up on fresh veggie's and nuts, cheese is great. You can do it think positive when craving come.

Hi AndrewT

I don't tend to be up as late as midnight these days - but occasionally I'll enjoy a snack in the evening - most likely some nuts with yoghurt, or wholemeal toast with peanut butter, or something like that. Yesterday I didn't have anything in the evening, after my evening meal -and that was ok too. It all depends how I feel and whether I fancy something or not. :-)

Hey Andrew, midnight snacks brings back so many memories, that's when I could look at food and it would ignore me, now I look at it through the shop window and I gain 2 stone just looking,

what I do now is on a weekend, get some tubs and I julienne carrots and cucumber, celery I get a tin of chic peas and make home made humus, I generally blend red pepper or onion in with it so nice and smooth and tasty and use them during the week, I also have a couple of small bags of peanuts in the cupboard in case I want to have something different, with a drink I have a bottle of ribena not the same as Mocha but ok for midnight... let us know if you try it

How do you sleep after coffee so late, I can not drink coffee after 6pm even then I wake up very early next day. I try to have cooked chicken or ham for supper. This is recomended with S.W.

My Mom does this Andrew. She has done it all of her adult life. As soon as midnight comes she is compelled to eat cheese in the kitchen. We use to call her Momma Mouse. She still does it.
