Hello! My name is Cassie. My boyfriend and I are trying to eat healthier and lose weight, but this is something we both struggle with. He has diverticulitis, so his diet is slightly restricted, while mine is not. Does anyone have any good tips for us to get started?

Not that I’m aware of. But things with husks (like corn kernels and any kind of nuts) hurt my bf’s stomach pretty bad.

Do you like tuna, eggs and/or chicken? You can always add them to the salad for protein.😀

That’s fantastic news!😀👍 I usually have a big salad when I’m here at home. When I go out, I get a salad that’s got more protein and less carbs..

I've not had a chance to watch the videos, so it may be covered, but I hear diverticulitis is non-existent in countries where they have squatting toilets (hole in the floor, as opposed to the chunky porcelain seat we have). A leg rest can be helpful to prevent this happening.

Hi there and welcome to the HE forum, my advice to anyone who wants to lose weight and eat well is to start with their favourite meals/foods and look at how to make them healthier.

We've had a 30 plant challenge on here and when you start to look at adding extra nutrients with a few chia seeds here and some sesame seeds there with fresh veg and good quality food you should soon be on the road to healthy eating and you are in great company on here for all things healthy eating.

I have recently rejoined slimmers world try it as they have changed so much and there food offerings are so easy to follow and you will feel hungry there recipe books are far ranging they cover everything,hope this is helpful to you and your boyfriend
