And another successful sourdough loaf

I'm really enjoying eating and making sourdough bread, it has been such a success. I made a lovely loaf today and it is now in the freezer - yummy.

Hi Hidden ,

Your bread looks really good! :-) Can a person substitute gluten free flour for regular when baking sourdough bread?

in reply to Activity2004

Hi Activity2004 , thank you and it is lovely and I have now made 4 loaves and the starter is very active so much so I have put a message on Facebook for friends near me asking if they would like some starter to make their own.

You can make gluten free starter and bread, please see the links below:

There are other recipes on the internet but the reason I have chosen the ones above is that they are on the same site so you will have the right starter for the bread.

Happy baking :)

Hi crazyfitness your bread looks really good. How do you go about making it? Would not mind giving it a go.

Hi queen , the process can see quite complicated initially but once you get your head round it it's fine and the recipe I found was fairly easy to follow, please see the links below:

The above are the recipes and instructions I followed.

Hi Crazyfitness goodmorning hope you are ok. Thanks for the links will give it a try andpost how i got on.

in reply to queen

Brilliant and looking forward to seeing how you get on. My starter is in the fridge at the moment as I don't need to make any bread for a couple of days but the way it's going I could make bread every day if I wanted to! :)

Thank you Mel and I'm so happy I can make sourdough. I'm now looking at other cultures as my lovely eldest daughter bought me the Clever Guts Diet Recipe book for Mother's Day, bring it on! :)
