I suffered from Hyperthyroidism in my mid thirties, had partial thyroidectomy and thereafter Radio-active Iodine as I was forming a Goitre again again and still Hyperthyroid.
After the Iodine I went from Hyper to Hypothyroid after several years. I have recently been put on levothyroxine 25mcg to add on to the 100mcg Eltroxin that I have been taking daily. Blood test also revealed that I now have high cholesterol. I am sluggish, tired and lack motivation to do much. My energy levels have diminished tremendously and I am very irritable. Someone please tell me what I must do or take to feel better

Avoid foods that impede with thyroid function like cruciferous vegetables, gluten, fatty foods, sugary foods, processed foods, excess fiber, coffee, and alcohol..Also, talk to your doctor before eating soy products. Also, thyroid supplementation is often required when taking medications.
Post on the Thyroid UK site. Your symptoms suggest to me you are hypothyroid but may be your GP thinks that and like many isn't too good with advice as may be relying on your TSH result!
