I don't know if anyone can help or have same problems as me. I'm 5ft6 just under 17st and desperately want to loose weight. I'm a terrible emotional eating and have lots of bad habits like so used to eating in the evening in front of television and seem to buy food and think later. I'm a really fussy eater which doesn't help. I get bored. I struggle with textures. I don't really like anything dairy or creamy only cheese and chocolate (typical) lol The only meat I like is chicken and sausages. I don't really like fruit. I don't mind vegetables. I can tolerate pasta and rice but not a huge fan. so i end up just eating chicken and veg and get really bored. i struggle with lunches too. breakfast can be a challenge cause i struggle to get out of bed early enough to make a decent breakfast so end up eating toast. does anyone have any tips etc. don't know if i have made any sense or just rambled

I would also consider consulting someone trained in coaching or cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to help you identify the triggers for emotional eating and address them. They will also help you break bad habits and develop other coping strategies, other than food. Joining a group for support is extremely motivating and if the programme is based on eating tasty, unprocessed, low GL foods (not crash dieting) then your health would really benefit long-term. For example, for every pound of fat we put on, the body has to create an additional 7 MILES of blood vessels, placing an extra burden on the heart and is one reason blood pressure goes up with weight gain. The converse is also true: if you lose a pound, it may not seem much on the outside but it will have a benefit internally. If you carry on doing that slowly and consistently, your body will adjust naturally and the weight will stay off. Have a look at zest4life.eu. Good luck!

I think you you need to change one small thing at a time. With what you've said I'd work on trying some thing different that is healthy food, Chicken and some veg is a good start that needs building on

Have you tried hypnotherapy for weight loss and motivation. It's worth a try?

i know the feeling,i weigh 17 stone and am only 5ft 2in and when i am not at work i eat constantly.I have to lose the weight cos i am mid 40s and have high blood pressure and borderline diabetic already.I have downloaded the 12 week plan but i think 1400 cals will be too low to start with so i done my personal bmi on the site and it came up with 1700 cals so i will start on that.I think we have got into a bad eating habit but if we got into it i am sure we can change it and get out of it.Just stick to the plan for the 12 weeks which is not alot out of one lifetime and see how you feel at the end,.Good luck!
