I drink decaff tea and coffee.
Fruit and herbal tea
Sugar free squashes & homemade cordials
Other is sometimes a gin and lemon or a glass of dessert wine. Probably at the most one gin and one wine in a week certainly no more
I do like a coca cola with a vodka
I have selected water/carbonated water. I occasionally have a soft drink as a mixer with alcohol, so I selected that as well.
Herbal teas
When I want a hot drink but not tea or coffee, I drink chicory (sold as a powder coffee substitute) I make it just like instant coffee, and drink it sometimes black and sometimes with milk.I used to prefer barleycup, which is a mix of barley and chicory, but since becoming coeliac, I can't have the barley!
Dilute fruit squash, a lot (I don't like plain water). Port and whisky macs, very rarely.
I realised I haven't put milk! I drink tea by far the most, I have coffee occasionally only drink tap water and fresh orange juice which I have delivered in a glass bottle once a week.
In the evenings I drink decaf tea or herb tea and I drink decaf coffee during the day sometimes.
Alcohol free ciders or beers

Sounds like a nice treat.
I don’t like water so I drink 2 cups 😄
Filtered tap water.
Tonic water, white wine
Diluting ribena

Interesting poll Jerry. After some experimenting, I’m now drinking for January & February & maybe beyond: Apple cider 0.5% or Apple Cider 0.9% for 4 evenings a week. And some fruit fizzy drinks watered down with bottled water for 3 evenings a week. Also drink Redbush tea and herbal tea. And bottled water. In our Area the water company adds fluoride to the water, hence I mainly drink bottled still water.
Thank you Rosepetal60 I drink redbush tea sometimes its got a really nice flavour.
Be sure to read the label on your bottled water because fluoride is often added to bottled water too.
Red wine (we share 1 bottle a week), whiskey before bed, sugar free lemonade - lots of, green tea. Coffee but not after 13.00. Lots of tap water.
Beer, only bitter and not too strong, Adnams, Wherry ,Timothy Taylors or Sam Smiths Organic. I crave the bitter flavour and find it in chicory too. I heard a podcast the other day that put forward the theory that humans are losing their ability or desire to taste bitter flavours to the detriment of our health.
The only soft drink I have is 100ml of Ginger Ale and that is only when I feel queasy, like for time of the month. On other words I drink really healthy even when I have orange fruit juice I only have a 100ml in the morning and that is enough for me. I even have a very little amount of no added sugar of Ribena with tap water once or twice a day. I drink a lot of tap water in between. I sometimes have a rare cup of tea. Great Survey.
A great way to encourage folk to drink less sugar.
Various herbal and fruit infusions
Almond milk, soy milk, wine, beer, whisky
Green tea, Pomegranate tea and Turmeric tea.
This sounds good to me. 👍
Distilled tap water is the main thing I drink - 1 to 2 litres a day.
Hey good for you HealthSeeker7 I'm impressed.
How do you even do it ? 😄
I find it all depends on where one lives. For instance as a child, I found the Water in Yorkshire, England., had a great taste, I used to love drinking it. And hopefully it still is good. But the tap water we have in the east of England, ( different water company) I find it doesn't taste nice. And because of the added fluoride, I avoid it for drinking glasses of water. I Do have it boiled up for a cup of tea though.
I live in the east of England too and our tap water is horrendous. When I run the tap water through my water distiller - which boils the water and condenses the rising steam back into pure water that drips into a 3.8 litre bottle - the residue left behind in the boiling chamber is shocking. It's brown, scaly and smelly.
Oh, and when I boil the distilled water in my kettle, the kettle stays pristine - no scale deposits.
I grew up in Lincolnshire and a layer of limescale scum floating on the top of your cup of tea was completely normal!
A water distiller. Is that something attached to you tap? The residue sounds awful. Glad I’m mainly drinking bottled Mineral water.
It's a free-standing piece of equipment, rather like a large kettle, but with a 4 litre bottle that sits beside it. Here's one that's similar to mine, except mine has a glass bottle. ebay.co.uk/itm/153844858733
Here's a short video showing how to use a distiller like this - youtube.com/watch?v=miThKe3...
I should add that I drink a homemade smoothie two or three times a week that always includes berries, mango, pineapple, banana, apple, turmeric, ginger, parsley, kale and a bit of broccoli stem. If I ever feel unwell, I also make my own fruit and vegetable juices (especially carrot and celery), but almost never orange juice because it's so acidic.
I always drink coffee.Actually just had one with coconut milk in :).
I hardly ever drink tap water now as I want to avoid the fluoride.
I have heard before that we don’t get fluoride in our tap water but so what, I want to avoid to make sure anyhow :).
I also avoid toothpastes and mouthwashes that have fluoride in too.
I usually like to drink a ginger and echinacea tea combo as this is good for fending off lurgies and I like to drink mullein infused tea if I am unfortunate to catch the lurgies :).
I used to guzzle soft drinks like coke etc all the time and I believe, that is the main reason why I had health problems.
I don’t drink any soft drinks now apart from the odd bottle of dandelion and burdock... if you class that as a soft drink :).
I drink coconut water almost every day and that is my ‘other’ choice.
Coconut water is also classed as an energy drink too.
Matt, you can look up your water supplier to check whether they add fluoride to their water. It's actually very uncommon in the UK.
I tend to filter my tap water to remove any other nasties you might already do this for your coffee though...
I had a look once and I think the south east UK, where I live doesn’t have fluoride in the tap water but you can never be too careful and anyway, I do like the taste of coconut water much better.
I looked this up & there appears to be quite a few cities, towns and Counties that have Fluoride added to the water system. Anglian Water Company covers a wide area including Norfolk & my area. They add Fluoride.
They don't add it to their water in all areas, just a couple of the northern counties/a couple of specific treatment works I believe. I lived in Anglian water region for a while and looked it up at the time.
I have been known to have the odd sherry, purely for medicinal purpose ofcourse. 😏
I'm glad to hear it...😀
Yes, it’s known for it’s medicinal purposes, but not everybody knows why. Many, many years ago, when visiting my Granny at a convalescent hospital in Thorpe Arch, Yorkshire. The patients were given a small glass Sherry about half an hour before their evening meal to increase their appetite. I don’t recall anyone refusing it !
Decaf coffee. Fentemans or Fever Tree Ginger Beer. Nothing with Aspartame in it!
I drink only jasmine green tea not black tea
Didn't add sherry, wine and brandy/whisky in small doses, honest!!
Very good poll Jerry. I see that what I mainly drink are level with each other. I mainly drink coffee and tap water and have very occasional soft drink.👍👍🌈🌈
Thank you Alicia I'm a creature of habit with tea being my favourite and I'm happy with tap water and no plastic waste. 🌈👍
I also like tea but it's difficult finding a plant milk that's good with tea. I meant to mention that I also drink Three Ginger Tea🌈👍
Have you tried Redbush/ Roobibos tea ? It doesn't need milk in it and is naturally caffeine free.
No I haven't, thank you for that 🙏🙏
Hi Alicia I drink Redbush tea sometimes as it’s really nice ☕️😊 here’s a link about it:healthline.com/nutrition/ro...
A Director that I used to assist in work a few years ago drank Redbush tea all the time but I'd never tried it. Thank you for the link Jerry 🙏🌈

Some of these only rarely, water and soft drinks for example unless its lemonade to dilute the rose wine I drink, one glass or a glass of cider mostly every evening and no more. I also drink fruit teas and sometimes hot chocolate before I go to bed. I usually try to drink a glass of water to prevent constipation, having had some alcohol...
