I put other.

We have Tiffin for Christmas day. Yule log would be too much for just 2 of us, and I'm not a big fan of mince pies/Christmas pudding :)

Other being mixed nuts and raisins, also honey roasted nuts.

I always receive a small bag of Thorntons dark chocolate ginger as a special treat. I might not get one this year though as we are buying fewer presents, all online. None of the family has been further than the local supermarket this year and I don't think they sell it πŸ˜’ Something to look forward to though when the situation eases a bit.

I’m hoping I can trust myself to be cautious and sensible with all the sweet stuff. It’ll be around but I think I can be strong(ish). Here’s hoping. 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Please can you tell me, What Brand of GF flour do you use for your GF Shortbread biscuits Jerry? I feel I should find time to make some instead of relying on the supermarket versions.

in reply to Rosepetal60

Hello Rose, I use Doves farm plain white flour for biscuits as it makes amazing biscuits. Here’s the biscuits/recipe I use and sometimes I substitute 50g of ground almonds with the flour.

I love shortbread biscuits so enjoy.😊

Thank you Jerry, appreciated, sounds easy too. I’ve got all ingredients in except I think for the sugar. Might have to do a search on the pantry shelves.

To make our own vegan Christmas Pud with our grandson (and as she grows our granddaughter) is a moment to treasure.

My daughter gave me top marks for the Vegan Christmas pudding I made for her for the past two years. I found it tasted as good our usual Christmas pudding. My vegan friend liked it too.

If you could get a Vegan/GF yule log, it would be that for sure, but instead I will be having Iced Xmas Cake with some custard

in reply to Kitten-whiskers

Ice Christmas cake with custard is just so you Debs and what a treat. πŸŽ„πŸ€Ά

Bought Mince pies, section of Christmas cake, shortbread biscuits & Home made Christmas pudding. I think I will be able to limit the mince pies to one a day. And generally keep to small portions as usual.

Enjoy your Christmas goodies Rose. πŸŽ„πŸ€Ά

I'm trying to eat a very low carb diet so none of the above. However I usually get a nice cheese board in and my husband eats lots of mince pies!

I once bought an ice cream Christmas 'cake' which was lovely!

Great Survey. There is nothing like sharing a Christmas Yule Log dessert with my family, surrounded by the people I love.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope you enjoy your dessert also.
