Don’t eat Indian food. It’s full of spices I can’t stomach and I hate rice and garlic.I won’t even let my son or daughter use it if they cook any food for me. They’ve tried to trick me, but I’ve been so ill after one mouthful they won’t ever try that again.

Almost always make our own curries and I make a much loved veg samosas. Eating out wise usually have tandoori to save calories.

I love poppadoms (with or without dips)! They were great when I was on a gluten-free diet :-)

Onion bhajis pakoras gets my vote as they're made with gram flour and I make my own to keep them gluten free.

How do you cook your pakoras? I don't like to deep fry, so do you have any other ways?

I love any Dahl dish, home made especially Makani.

I've got to vote pakora/bhaji, samosa and tikka masala.

Favourites depend on the individual restaurant - in the one we tend to eat in, I like a jaipuri (hotter Rogan Josh with extra peppers/mushrooms).

Our favourite restaurant also offers a gluten free chapati :)

My favourites are : Pakoras, dahi bhalla chaat, daal, chilli paneer, masala dosa, palak saag and aloo paratha.Indian food is often fresh mostly vegetarian with different regional variations. It can be tailored made from very mild spice to hot spices. My children eat Indian food with mild spice while I love spicy food. It’s so yummy! I am vegetarian, but my children love butter chicken, tikka masala and other meat dishes.

I love to have a vegetable biryani with an onion bhaji and pashwari.

I do like having korma as well, that's nice too :).

I really do love all indian food just not to hot with chilies as I prefer to taste the wonderful flavours rather than the heat.

As I'm gluten free I can eat most of the curries and enjoy trying new ones every time were out but unfortunately not the pashwari naan that I used to love love love to have just with chasni sauce ... delicious.

I enjoy the popudums and onion baji with the pickles and mango sauce as a starter

Xxx

I voted bhaji but honestly I absolutely love everything on the list, and loads more. I love Daal and cook some nearly every week. So frustrated that my shops are currently sold out of lentils! We would never starve so long as I could get some lentils.

Hi Jerry

I voted for a Biryani and Tikka masala although I make all of my own curries and they are just whatever takes my fancy and a good looking recipe.

Other is a fantastic duck curry that my favourite Indian restaurant does - can't think what it's called - and paratha. Shame it's going to be a long time before I can have it again

We live in a remote fishing village so seldom have Indian food, hubby is not fond of it prefers old Aussie fare. So parties, dinners etc. I eat however hat has all changed and confined to home.

Hi Hidden ,

Fantastic job done with the poll!😀👍

I picked paneer since it’s one of my favorite things to have when I’m at home.😀👍

Dear Jerry,

I like a lot, of Asian Food. Years ago I used to belong to a Anglo-Asian Conservative Committee. Genuine Asian/ Indian/ Pakistani food, is mainly Vegetarian- with the occasional use of chicken, though fish is eaten. Most of the 'Indian' food, available in this Country is 'Home Grown'- Balti Curry, for example, was- in all probability- invented in Birmingham (it certainly isn't an Indian dish.) Another Anglo(mostly)Indian Dish is Shishliac, a type of 'kebab' served on a bed or either vegetables- or rice. (There is some evidence, of a link, to Nepal for this dish.... but it is 'tenuous', at best.) Indian food also has 'cold curries', that are served 'cold' and hardly spiced at all- perhaps a 'touch' of coriander.

Genuine Indian deserts basically Don't exist, apart from a few 'pastries' perhaps. These days, Indian people would probably have ice cream after a curry... like everyone else.

Another Good Poll Jerry... does anyone know about Genuine Chinese Food?
