If possible could we please have a choice of both...

πŸ‘ for like/positive reaction.

And ❀ to show compassion

That would be a fantastic idea. :-) Thank you for suggesting it! :-)

It seems that people like both the πŸ‘and ❀ so it would be good to have the choice.

Definately the heart - such a nice touch

To be honest with you I don't really care about the 'like' button.

It could be a heart, it could be a smile, it could be a thumbs up, it could be a tick. I'm not bothered.

I just wasted my time even writing that :).

It's not a waste if you're being honest in your opinion about something. :-)

For me, my Other is a smiley face with a thumbs up for love and smiley face for like.

Hi Jane, if we like a post or a reply we can click like and the like symbol was the thumbs up. And now it’s a heart. β™‘

Hi Wulugu ,

Recently, HU decided to change the like icon. They had a thumbs up before and now they have a blue heart to replace the thumbs up. Do you think it's a good idea to have a blue heart or a thumbs up for like when seeing a posting/comment?

well you must be reasonably computer savvy if you're on a computer based forum...

Your reply Reminds me of β€œClassic Millionaire β€œ programme. I can see it now, 2 choices left & lifelines all gone. I’ve yet to vote as I don’t know the Answer either & trying to get clues here !

I think we should have a choice. That way is shows more personality also.

A choice would be good.

Sorry Jerry but I don't bother with these icons or any of the social media which have caused so much misery.

in reply to Tibblington

Thank you Tibbly but I don't think a β™‘ or πŸ‘ causes misery.

It's how some people react with one another on social media that creates the real problems.

I agree with you Jerry but unfortunately these icons or whatever people call them, have become associated with all those social media platforms. I don't want to appear a kill-joy but I would so much prefer to express my emotions in words rather than cartoon images. Kids today are not learning the skill of describing situations when they can simply pick an icon and stick it on the page.`Sadly we are losing the skill of good English, even the BBC English has deteriorated , the letters "t" and "d" are no longer spoken at the end of a word and "yes" has become "yea".
