Other is none. I just find it too difficult to deal with all the aids I need to take and sleeping in strange places is dfficult as I have an electric adjustable bed at home and can't get comfortable in an ordinary bed.

Yes, I was debating whether to vote in this when it would have been "other" meaning "none". There's no point in going on holiday at peak summer expensive time if you don't have kids in school or if yourself or your partner is a teacher... (or similar)

(I meant "is not a teacher", obviously...)

I'm too busy gardening in the summer and I live by the seaside so I always go away in the winter. I like hiking and adventure holidays.

I answered beach and festival because I live on the Isle of Wight (UK) and just a 10 minute drive from a choice of beaches. The annual music festival is held about 500 yards from my house so I can see and listen all weekend from my bedroom window.

(And no queuing for food or the loo! ;o)

We went on a Mediterranean cruise. This was in April and I was diagnosed in july with cirrhosis. I love cruises because you just unpack then visit several different countries. I slept all the way round Barcelona on the hop on hop off bus. I also slept all the way round Lisbon and also monte Carlo. πŸ˜΄πŸ˜• Before I was diagnosed We had booked to go to Bali next year but we were concerned about the 25 hour flights and the standard of healthcare (our friends were in Bali when the earthquake struck and they told us that patients were being brought out of the hospital into the streets as the buildings were collapsing)

We're not booking anything now till I've had my other scans and tests to see what has caused my cirrhosis as I don't drink.

Another good poll Jerry. It always has to be an active holiday for me, can't beat walking in the countryside, good for the mind, body and soul and of course health.

well I wanted to participate in your survey, but I can't say I have had any of those days in the last 2 years.

We took a package holiday as a means of getting to our chosen destination from our local airport. We then hired a car and did our own thing probably to the annoyance of the travel company who want to sell their coach tours.
