I voted for rhubarb, but I also love all the others, except bananas. In my opinion, other than in my banana bread recipe, bananas should neber be cooked, lol! x

You have perhaps never split and microwaved an over-ripe banana and served with chocolate ice-cram. I'm sure you would like it.....

You're right, I havent. I don't like cooked bananas, but I will try this on my kids tomorrow...I think they'll love it. Thank you. (& I WILL try a bit myself too...you never know!)

Pineapple on home made pizza. I don't cook any other fruit in the summer, nor much in the winter either. I'll occasionally make apple purée but otherwise prefer fruit fresh if in season or defrost frozen fruit.

I voted gooseberries, but I also love rhubarb. Only snag with goosegogs is that they're such a short season and where I live (in a city) they only seem to come in VERY small plastic punnets. When I was young though, my dad used to go to the greengrocers and buy a load of them loose. So, I decided to buy a hgooseberry bush, but it'll take a while to bear enough fruit, mehinks. Bought it a couple of years ago. We're moving soon...really hope we will have a garden..I couldn't bear not having one.

love all these fruits, I don't cook bananas other than in cakes the rest can be stewed, baked in crumbles made into mousses, tarts and lots more.... it's nice to use native fruits as they come into season the flavour is much better than bought out of season.

Don’t eat cooked fruit in the summer, only fresh (preferably straight out of my garden)

Why has bananas got a redundant apostrophe? There isn't one in apricots (which is correct) so why shove one in bananas? I am a pedant and I notice these things.

I missed that castiggy 😊 and it's gone now...

I can eat any amount of bananas except when they are cooked, I really don’t like them. It’s weird, I can’t eat cooked beetroot either but raw in salad is fine!

My new neighbour kindly gave me a load of rhubarb; cooked with some ginger and very little sugar, stirred in a green jelly and left to cool and set...made a lovely cold dessert with yogurt or ice-cream

If you go on the Web. Rhubarb is good for Diabetics. NOT full of sugar when cooking ! I eat it straight out of the pan.

Gooseberry or rhubarb fool...yum!

How about wild blueberries? When they are on we try to go up in the mountains and get enough for a blueberry pie, yum! Can be a little competition with the bears though 🐻🐻🐻!
