Can you see the Nut Hatch...🌲

β€’9 Replies

Hi everyone,

Well its a lovely sharp day today and I went into the forest and noticed some squirrels a great tit and a nut hatch feeding from from some seeds so I stayed still and zoomed my camera (on my phone) and photo'd the nut hatch, they're pretty little birds so it was great stumbling onto this one. I wish's I had a camera with a zoom lens for birds now.

I think that people don't walk often enough or very far nowadays and think thats a pity as I make time to walk as it is so beneficial health wise mentally and physically...well as long as you don't walk in the middle of the road LOL πŸ˜‚

That's a very lovely picture you took today, Hidden ! :-) I wish I could get pictures of animals in general like that when I have my phone with me. Most of the animals I see here and there are some cats and dogs (the birds here don't sit/stay long enough to get a clear image).

Thanks Leah, it was in a hole in the tree and peeping out at first so I waited and was lucky, here's a link to nut hatches as they're lovely little birds...πŸ˜€

I think you did well to spot that Jerry. Lovely little birds. No I agree people don’t walk far enough. Maybe it’s hard to find the time. When I worked in an office I used to go for a walk at lunch time to wake myself up and recharge my batteries.πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘

Thanks Ali, I watched them run up the tree trunk and stop, so knew roughly where it was.

I bet if you'd stayed in the office lunch time you'd have felt sleepy all afternoon whereas a walk is refreshing, so good for you. πŸ‘

I do see the little guy... good shot. I totally agree we all need to walk more.

Thanks Mottsie, I tried to get as close as I could and what better motivation seeing wildlife in action. 😊

Hi Hidden

Maybe you'll have to consider getting a zoom lens - but I think you've captured this extremely well without one. Well done. :-)

Zest :-)
