When I was first approached by the HealthUnlocked CEO to launch this forum I resisted. As a survivor in recovery many years ago I'd been in other PTSD forums and recoiled from the toxic, aggressive and antagonistic behavior I observed in them.

After several meetings and many more email discussions I agreed to honor the CEO's request on one condition: that this forum exist only as long as it operates as a a truly supportive, positive and community-building space.

Today I received a joint email from the HealthUnlocked's CEO and Community Director. I want to share some of it with you because it's about you. They wrote:

"HealMyPTSD has become a role model for starting communities, its safe and positive ambiance, its Pioneers, its activity and members' commitment and, of course, its Admins..."

I want to thank all of you for helping me achieve my original mission. I so deeply appreciate your willingness to be honest, collaborative, non-judgmental and respectful of each other. Everyone's recovery moves at a different pace. In this forum we have an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations that allow everyone to connect with meaningful ideas in ways that feel personally comfortable.

You are the reason this forum is working as wonderfully as it does! As the year winds to a close I want to wish you all a good holiday season (as stressful as the holidays are) and my offer this wish for your 2015: that it becomes be your most healing year yet.

You can do this. I believe in you!

Thank you for this forum!! I've never had a sense of belonging and I truly feel understood here. What a relief to have such a natural sense of belonging that I've missed and yearned for my entire life. Thanks to all of you!! Much love to all.

Michele, thanks so much for what you do and for creating this forum. I just recently found your resources including Heal My PTSD. And thanks to all the members who are courageously posting experiences and responses. It's been great for me in this short time.

Thank you Michele. I am so appreciative of your giviing back. I believe in order to keep something intangible, you have to "give" it away i.e, respect, love, our individual gifts (those things that set us apart-our talents). I believe our greatest responsibility when on the road to healing and recovery is to help set others free❤️

Michele I found this place not to long ago and since the first time I posted I have been greeted with nothing but love and respect. People that have never met me treat me more like family then anyone in my life. You have given me the strength to keep fighting and to do what I can to move forward with my recovery. Thank you for your time and wisdom. Without this place I think a lot of us would be lost. I hope you have a great holiday and know that we are all family here.
