Once a year, Headway's members, friends and supporters come together to pay tribute to some very special people whose personal achievements have earned the admiration of everyone around them.

Spanning five categories - Achiever, Campaigner, Volunteer, and Carer of the Year, along with the Stephen McAleese Outstanding Contribution to Headway Award - the awards exist to enable the charity to publically acknowledge outstanding achievements of people whose lives have been affected by brain injury.

We are pleased to announce the 15 finalists for this year's awards, and you can read their stories now on our website: headway.org.uk/headway-annu...

The awards will take place on 7th December in a glittering ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London.

The people nominated are very worthy and deserve the recognition. i concur with the last comment posted. There are so many people who have been through and are going through either surviving an abi or caring for someone with an abi that awarding some seems to forget those who are out there quietly getting on with the battle lol

Hi formula and abisupporter

The great thing about the Headway Annual Awards is not only do they give recognition to some very special and deserving people, but also that they raise awareness of brain injury in local media across the UK.

Each of our finalists is representative of thousands of others across the UK who are doing incredible things, either volunteering or campaiging, acting as role models for others, or giving their time so generously to care for and support people similarly affected by brain injury.

We know there are so many incredible people out there who are quietly getting on with the battle - and this awards ceremony is a celebration of their efforts as much as the finalists'.
