Are ppl with brain injuries considered genuine cases now cos I (and millions of others) went through Hell with the assessors.

I had a letter asking about my PIP and they never stopped it

Glad you mentioned this as I am legal deputy through the court of protection for my son and for the past 9 years each time his PIP was up for renewal , they cancelled it following assessment then we had to appeal , gather lots more information from consultants, GPS, Occ therapist, it was a nightmare but this time nothing I completed the form , and a few months later it was awarded with no argument. I couldn’t believe it. I’m hoping now like you say they finally accept that his brain injury , like the specialists have said time and time again is life long and he is now unlikely to improve further. . Let’s keep our fingers crossed that they have. 🤞

Congratulations if they haven’t stopped it.

They stopped mine, even though I sent medical reports from neurologist, GP letter, diary from support workers, letters from therapists, report from neuropsychological. and the usual application form.

PIP assessors gave me zero points!

Hi I had the same problem no points so we went to the CAB the lady helping me was superb first the mandatory reconsideration still no points then she put her barristers hat on and went to the full appeal both pips and mobility reinstated in less than 10 days for ten years
