My moms been diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 3 place we are waiting for her appointment which is next week 12 Feb to see what the treatment going to be, she's not in a good place right at this moment she's getting panic attacks not sure what to do she is 75?

after she has seen the consultant, make an appointment with your local hospice if you have one nearby. Hospices are NOT just for the dying, the are fabulous at dealing with the stress involved in a diagnosis, explaining all about the illness and treatment (they have a lot more time than the hospital), offering any help needed - for example if she needs a blue badge, if she can be registered as disabled and get financial help. They are good at pain management and help if she needs radiotherapy and has side effects. They can usually offer such things as massage, reflexology etc to help her cope with her stress. Give it a try.
