Sometimes I need help filling in forms as I do not understand what they are asking.

Citizens advice is 14 miles away along with every help organisation out there.

Any suggestions please

Do you have family or friends that could help you? I fill my mums in for her. I appreciate you are in the middle of nowhere so it's difficult to complete some tasks. Are they (citizens advice, family, friends) able to assist over the phone or via an online chat or maybe email if you tell them the questions you are having difficulty with?

If I had a citizens advice number that was not chargeable from my land line it would be easier. Family deceased, friends do visit but it is a 4.5 hour one way drive for them to visit. Over £60 for a taxi one way.

There is a bus in the morning and it returns and night.

It used to be my dream to be remote but the reality is different. Do have the bank van on a Wednesday 😃 at least there is no crime

Some charities will visit you to help, and sometimes the cab can also offer this, family can help, but I know from those forms that sometimes you need someone who speaks to lingo to fill them in correctly. Benefit forms, always complete them from a worst day perspective.

Hi.

Have you asked your local headway office if they can help or they may have contact details of other charities that could help.

As stated by others have you any family or friends that are local to you that could help.

At this moment, I just can’t stand any more.

I have a special needs daughter. A younger daughter and a beautiful granddaughter....

I just feel like I can’t carry on.

You can also get advice over the phone. Otherwise visit your local gp and ask them or the nurse to help.

My go is my lifeline and we have spoken, he is concerned because of what I am being prescribed. Also now dealing with rheumatoid arthritis and Hodgkin’s. BP is off the charts so he will be on my case again but I am taking everything’s I should 26 pills a day

As I look ok people do not see a disability, I look fit and healthy but I need a defrag. It is not easy being on your own and I have huge gaps in my memory.

Absolutely terrified of being sectioned because of something I forgot or did.

I don't think you have to worry about being sectioned, I don't think you come under any of the criteria.

It does sound like you are struggling, and not just with form filling. Talk to the GP about getting more support, if you are not currently under the neuro team, ask to be referred. Don't be worried about the job titles like psychiatrist, or psychologist. These people are there to help, not lock you up.

I think we all go through the "this won't beat me, I'm not different, stiff upper lip, I'm not weak" and we have all crashed. Especially if you are isolated by w by where you live, occasionally you need to raise the white flag.

Headway is a good starting point for helping with isolation, and there are charities that offer transport, befriending, the hardest thing is admitting you need help, but get over that hurdle, we all need help sometimes.
