Feeling a little bit of positiveness

Hi everyone

I’ve had a day full of appointments and my conclusion from what they have all said to me is that my ptsd and anxiety is taking over everything it’s not allowing me to accept that I’m ok I told the doctor all my symptoms and he said what I’m experiencing is very normal but because I’m so worried it’s making me feel worse.

I’m going to start yoga soon and I’m going to try to do some mindful things I need to try to get the positive thoughts to come through and both the horrible ones it’s going to be really hard and emotional and horrible but I really hope that it will work 🤞 thanku again for your support xx

I recommend ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne, to help you take control over your mindsets. Good luck with it👍🏻

Hmm.. In my experience (I had a traumatic brain injury almost 22 years ago) brain damage can make pre-existing traits or conditions seem worse. That COULD be what's happened with you. My pre-existing anxiety became much worse after banging my head. It's worth remembering that only you know how life is for you after brain damage. 'The Patient knows best'. Trying to help the PTSD and the anxiety is all well and good but you are still going to be left with your other symptoms. I'm afraid there is no quick fix, just learning to live with and accept the new you. I wish you well x

Here is something you may find of value. This is a therapy that calms to vagus nerve and sympathetic nervous system, which in turn calms the flight or flight response.

My latest occupational therapy, "Safe and Sound Protocol", has been one of the best. I have more vitality, am able to engage activity more and am more alert as to what is going on. If you're interested there are a couple of short youtube videos that explain the therapy. You'll need to do a search on youtube.com for
