I have been working on this drawing for, what seems like months.

I suppose I haven’t been in the greatest of moods or didn’t have much time to be drawing. Plus I was away on holiday for nearly a week as well :).

But anyhow, I finished this drawing last night, only thing was I forgot to post it last night :).

One thing I don’t enjoy a great deal with drawing is drawing material.

I think your natural flair might be stifled by those type of details anyway. My brother was a draughtsman all his life but couldn't draw freehand for toffee. They're particular traits, one of which takes training & a scientific approach and the other artistic ability.

When you say about your bro being a draughtsman but couldn’t draw freehand, it reminded me of when I was telling a friend at my Headway how I could draw well but my handwriting is slow and not as neat as it once was.

Because of my brain injury I have ataxia,I am an ataxic person and therefore I struggle with handwriting.

So when my friend heard that I struggle with writing she was a bit stunned by that.

But the ataxia does show when I draw. I mean, I don’t draw a circle in one stroke I will go over the same are again and again.

But it makes my drawings look good and that’s the main thing :).

If I were to do a drawing in one stroke it would look very messy and not worth selling at all.

Apparently our left hemisphere controls maths, planning & writing abilities etc. and our right is responsible for creativity ! 🤔 xx

Interesting. See, I saw an image once where either side of the brain. The front part of the brain is responsible for creativity.

But I think you will find that a number of websites all say different things and especially so if the information is American.

I’ve read and I am sure my Headway have even told me that the left side of the brain operates the right side of your body and the right of the brain operates the left.

That's right Matt. But the left hemisphere is responsible for reasoning/logic and handwriting, etc., whereas the right is where our creativity and insight etc. comes from.

So in drawing, it's the left hemisphere controlling your writing but the right controlling your artistic ability. 🤣 😆 xx
