Vegetative State after 16 years

My grandma has been in a vegetative state for over 16 years. She had an aneurysm in her head. It's been really hard seeing my mother deal with this for this amount of time. Is anyone going through this or can relate?

I haven't come across such a long term case of PVS ; such harrowing circumstances for your mother and all your grandma's loved ones to have coped with for so long. I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your heartache.

I do hope you'll have some supportive replies from others with more experience of your situation. Regards, Cat x

I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. I can fully relate to what you and your family are going through. My son Ed has been in a vegetative state for over 16 years following a traumatic brain injury. It is heart breaking and a continual nightmare. Please know that I understand. Sandra.
