ESA payment problems over Xmas 2018

Morning all,

I got ESA normal 2 weeks 21/12/18. I then 'should' get 2 weeks payment on the 04/01/19 and 2 weeks payment 18/01/19, so that's 4 weeks in total.

However, I got 1 weeks 31/12/18 and 1 weeks payment 08/01/19

This means I am 2 weeks short of payment up to yesterday. Is anyone else behind with their payments. A bit worrying when you have bills to pay, not that they care of course!! I thought they had the glitch sorted by now

Thank you and hope you all are keeping to those New Year resolutions!!!

Morning, could it be that you are being/have been switched to Universal credit? In which case the rules are very different.

I'm afraid I'm not au fait with the in and outs of the system but I have noticed a big increase in the number of clients coming to the food bank that I volunteer at.

Worth checking what to expect with dwp or citizens advice? Good luck

Yes, I got the same. No letter to explain what they were doing

What I can gather from other sites about ESA payments, there has been a glitch with their computer system and theres a lot of people that were only getting one weeks worth of money, can't quiet remember the dates that were affected. I'll go and find the site and let you know about the dates that has affected people.
