Since my head injury . I can’t stop tidying up. I asked my husband to de clutter the loft the other day. It’s as though I need to declutter stuff as my brain cannot deal with it. Anyone else done this?

Tidying up
I am the total opposite as now with my abi can’t initiate to get anything started!
Yes Cathryn, I suppose it's one way of regaining a sense of control and bringing some order amidst the often topsy-turvy world of brain injury ! When you're struggling with disjointed or troubled thoughts, having orderly surroundings can be reassuring and calming. Take care, Cat x
Both my wife and daughter are on the OCD spectrum, so trying to find clutter is the issue.
I can't cope with environments, which contain too many distraction.
It seems that this is the 'new' you, so this could well be a symptom of your brain injury which may reduce over time.
As far as I can see your TBI was around 6 months ago and personally at 6 months I was a mess, with lots of symptoms which have disappeared over time.
Im in the midst of trying to de clutter the house, i need it doing and im becoming obsessed because its taking so long. Id happily pay someone for them to come and do it because i get too fatigued by the whole process.
The whole house needs redecorating too, i used to do it and because im no longer capable its just not getting done, its been 7 years now and im determined it wont stretch any further.
