My novella, “Headfirst Thrills on Wheels”, is finally published. Available on Amazon Kindle £3.99. Paperback not yet available on Amazon but available on lulu.com for £9.99. An account of my independent travels across the Globe as an ordinary wheelchair user. I started wheelchair Globetrotting in 2015, 13 years after sustaining head injuries in 2002 as a teenager. My greatest reward will be to inspire many and I hope you can help me share this piece. Success takes community effort and you are the community. On a professional level, the book might not be a hit but I guarantee you that it will somehow and somewhere touch the brains of think tanks.

You right, I wanted to read something about, what challenges wheelchair users or disabled people in general face when travelling independently further afield. I couldn’t find it so I decided to write a book about it. I hope people will support me

I can see the kindle edition now but for some reason it’s saying the title is not yet available for purchase. I can’t even send you a paperback because you won’t be able to read.

However earlier it was saying £3.99

That take guts I have a progressive neurological condition and only had to use a wheelchair in the last year or so but I did my ‘big round the world trip’ when I could still walk and am thankful I did backpackers hostels were not disability friendly(maybe it’s changed in the last 10 years)...

I admire you doing it in a wheelchair can’t have been easy life as a wheelchair user takes planning which is something that I avoided as an independent traveller preferring to fly by the seat of my pants!

Can’t have been easy but however you managed it well done and will take a look at your book😀Kate

Pip70 thank you for your comments. You see was a teenager when I got involved in a car accident. I had not travelled at all. So with guts I started travelling on my own however I encountered challenges, how I overcomed the challenges is beyond me.

Good for you I take life a bit easier these days preferring the familiarity/safety of my home but so glad I fulfilled my travel bug when I could without the fear of falling... 😀Kate

It is still doable but depends where you go. But me I had a Headfirst experience. Some places where not accessible at all but I managed to get by. However it depends on the extent of the disability.
