currently writing out my PIP form, well my husband is veavering away writing it while I’m sat in the bedroom crying hiding from the fact that yes I really am that bad and in need of help and support. How much of a burden am I?! It’s disgusting we’ve had to prove it all again, especially when you’ve already been given a lifetime award and with court hearing proof too :-( woosah....

sorry folks xxx

Disgusting, its apparent that previous decisions are not to be trusted because the outcome was not in their favour.

It not unusual for an adviser at the end of a PIP form fill to hear "I didn't know it was that bad". The disabled are encouraged to be positive to achieve there full potential and this process highlights the other side of that coin and it does upset many people.

A generic piece of advice is seek help to complete the PIP form, if it's close to the return date and you may need an extension to obtain that help. If you ring PIP they seem very open to giving a further 2 weeks at least, many of our client have done this without a problem. A Google search: '"Town, Welfare Benefit Advice" should bring up agencies in your area who may be able to fill the form in for you.

A lifetime award isn't possible with PIP, most are for a Fixed Term or possibly an On Going Award.

I'm presuming you will have received the abbreviated AR1 form, which asks three basic question about your abilities and have things changed for the better or worse, (tick boxes).

Do try and get help with this form, especially if there has been a change as TBI is one of the conditions which 'normal' people struggle to understand.

God Bless You, I truly understand how you are feeling as I am sure a lot of other people have and are experiencing the same as you are. But, remember we are all in the same 🚣‍♂️I’m sure that the amount of tears 😭 should drown all the politician who implemented all these changes on disability payments. But, the sun is shining and you do sound like you have a wonderful husband who is helping you so enjoy this wonderful sunny day. Love Liz x

Rather poetic Liz & I love the idea of politicians drowning in the tears of their 'victims'. :-o x

That made me chuckle Liz, thank you! Yes we are all in the same boat, despite different reasons we’re here etc etc- I try and keep to that, though it’s also why I try not to post too much on here! It’s awful, I was just chatting away this morning to some mums with kids (over 16) with severe Autism - obviously in the same boat too! Hmmmm thanks again Liz, you enjoy the day too xx
