Just asking ???

I don't want to freak anyone out but I really need to ask this, as we have something in common, which is we came close to death & I'm trying hard to put this in a way as not to sound morbid or weird but just gonna have to say it as it is, did anyone see loved ones who had passed during your fight for life or am I the only one???? Sorry in advance if I offend anyone

I was comatosed for 3weeks in which time I seen my fathers mum and dad who died when I was a kid.

They held me in a chair and cared for me. I even recall my grandfather cutting my hair?

Yes I had this experience and spoke, after I survived my coma, of the person having visited me ...... but she couldn't have because she had already died.

Yes and it was a very wonderful experience. I saw my mother who had passed 3 years before that and her brother who had died as a small child, as well as many other relatives. I was just angry that I had to come back. Far from morbid. Not the least bit offensive.

I has something similar, very disturbing experiences some of which haunted me for months others just during the experience.

After I came out of the coma I had lucid memories of very early childhood, whilst non of these involved anything negative or tragic they were very disturbing. As the memory was lucid I experienced it as a 4-5 year old and being that person, without the adult layers we build around our self, was a mixture of confusion of the unknown and the magnitude of the world around me. It was both good and very scary.

I had memories of my admittance to the ICU and whilst I was told this was impossible things I knew proved otherwise. So I know whilst the nurse was looking for eye dilation, my wife couldn't answer medical history questions. So we have a white light and a voice saying my name, I'm agnostic by the way.

My nightmare for months was being stuck at the bottom of a pond and seeing a white circle of light (the surface). I could tell that stood around the pond were the nurses and my wife who were talking. I know I have to tell the nurse about my medical history or I will die but to attempt this means I drown, that when I'd wake up gasping.

Whilst the second doesn't meet your criteria I feel all these connect to the same place, trying to cling to your life and this can make them very disturbing

None at all tho I am interested in this sort of thing and was aware that I was in a state (coma) that probably had highest chance of seeing dead loved ones. The main one being my grandad who had died at the hospital I was in at time 10 years earlier. It was only when I came round I found out I was taken to that hospital he died at on my birthday which was the exact 10 year anniversary of him dying there.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. Now I feel I can share mine. I could see silhouettes in a field and was moving towards them, as I got closer my dad & my nan were there but I was confused & didnt know if they could see me as they seemed to be looking through or past me, I wasn't close enough to touch them but could see them cleary. I didn't want to look who was beside them but I knew they had all passed. From that moment I started getting better & learnt quickly to walk & talk as I was in rehab I had no idea why I was there but truly believe they helped me get my life back. I feel totally blessed to have had this experience. I'm not mad, that's just people who don't know or understand anything more than this life
