There are quite a lot of people on here who have had SAH but I don't know of any that have had meningitis as a consequence so I would say that it is not common. However, when anyone has e.g an operation, you will be told all the possible outcomes even if the risk is very very low for it to happen.

Good morning my husband had bacteria meningitis after his SAH. He had an external shunt draining off excess fluid and I think that's how he got it. It's easily treated with anti b's.

Good to know that its not common as I had a SAH back in 2015. First I've ever heard of this.
